I think that not everyone may interpret the meaning of art in the same way. A piece of artwork is different for everyone
who encounters it. What is meaningful and purposeful to one person may
have no effect on someone else who viewing the same art. Also, someone
who is decorating their home can not physically put emotional value in
every single aspect of decorating. For example a lamp is a lamp, you
simply pick which one looks or works better, not every single object in
an household is going to have a purpose other than to function and/or look
pretty. Things like paint, pattern, pictures, paintings, and signs on
the wall could have a significant meaning and emotional connection. The picture of the Nana's Kitchen is a sign my Nana has in her kitchen. This decoration has an emotional connection because it was a gift to her from my mother.
